Inventor of the Mirror cube

The Mirror cube hasn’t been around for that long. It was invented in 2006 by the Japanese puzzle designer Hidetoshi Takeji. He initially called it a Bump cube. «Bump» because the cube has an uneven surface when unsolved. Two years later, large scale production of this cube began, and it was at that time that the name was changed to Mirror Blocks.
